Unofficial Practice on the tournament Lake

Monday September 11, 2023 from 8 am to 5 pm PST

 SHORTLINE LAKE | Elk Grove, California 

Unofficial practice sets can be purchased for $30 USD per time slot. Time slots will be assigned on a first come first-serve basis. We want all athletes to have a chance to practice on the tournament lake. So, skiers may purchase a set “in advance” for round one ONLY. If time allows, skiers can purchase a time slot for round 2 on site only, and only at the conclusion of round 1. 

Please be aware, the opportunity to ski on the tournament lake on Monday, September 11 is being provided as a courtesy. We will need to be courteous and efficient to accommodate as many skiers as possible. As of today, there are 47 individual entrants from 11 countries.

General guidelines for each set are as follows:

- A set may NOT exceed 10 min.

- Salom, 6 passes or 2 falls

- Trick, 6 passes or 2 falls

- Jump, 2 jumps

A time block will be reserved for Audio Slalom from 8:00 am – 10:00 am. However, after all of the VI skiers have completed as least one set, the buoys will be reconfigured, and the round 1 running order will start.

Time slots are approximate. Actual time may change based on conditions. The running order will be maintained at the starting dock.

The ramp height will be set at 1.25m (4’).

Skiers must be ready when their turn comes up. If a skier is not ready, the next skier on the list will be allowed to start. If a skier misses her turn, then she may be added back into the round 1 starting list at the end of the list. Refunds will NOT be provided for no shows.

Remember, time slots are approximate and may change. I suggest you check this list frequently to determine if your time slot has changed.

I will be updating the "Running Time" column on the day of practice with actual start times so you can see if we are running ahead or behind schedule on the day of the event.
